24.1 He who (walks flightily) on tiptoe is not upright.
He who (walks with long) strides (can) not do (things).
24.2.1 He who is seeing (things from) his own (viewpoint) is not clear (about things).
He who (has his) own opinion does not understand.
24.2.2 He who takes credit of his achievement (has) no deservingness.
He who is self-conceited is not growing (in experience).
24.3.1 These in Tao,
are said to be leftover food (and) redundant action.
24.3.2 (And) things may dislike them.
24.3.3 So a man with Tao (does) not dwell on these.
