57.1.1 Use rightness to govern the country.
57.1.2 Use odd (tactics of surprise) in commanding troops.
57.1.3 Use noninterference in (state) affairs to take the world.
57.2.1 How do I know this is so?
57.2.2 The more taboos (are there) in the world,
then people (will become) rebellious everywhere.
(When) people (have) more sharp weapons,
then the country and manor (become) even more darker.
57.2.3 (When) people (have) more wit,
(then) odd things (will) appear even more.
(When) laws (on) property (right are) even more clearer,
(then) there are many thieves (and) robbers.
57.3.1 This is why the word of the sage is said as:
57.3.2 I (am) noninterfering in (state) affairs and then the people (become) rich by themselves.
I let go and then the people evolve by themselves.
I am fond of silence and then the people (become) righteous by themselves.
57.3.3 I desire no desire and then the people (become) simple by themselves.
