Saints Sweat on Safe Returns
Saints are sweating on the safe return of their five internationals on duty last night.
Wayne Bridge played the full 90 minutes for England while Anders and Michael Svensson both started for Sweden in their 2-1 win in Hungary.
But Claus Lundekvam and Jo Tessem were both on the bench for Norway who won 2-0 in Luxembourg.
It was Anders Svensson's first game back following an ankle injury and Saints will want to run a thorough check on him this afternoon.
However the initial feedback suggest he should be fit to return to the Southampton squad for Saturday's sell-out at home to West Ham.
He is now virtually over his latest virus although he still has to have further tests to try and discover why he is prone to picking up so many bugs.
That has held up the rehabilitation programme on his ankle.
