Ibrahimovic, class and strength
Juventus new boy Zlatan Ibrahimovic has revealed he rejected offers from other clubs to join the Bianconeri.
The Swedish international completed his move from Ajax to Juventus just before the close of the transfer window on Tuesday.
The 22-year-old admitted once Juve came in for him his choice was easy.
"There were other clubs who were interested, but I wanted to join Juventus and Juventus wanted me," Ibrahimovic told Sportbladet.
"It can hardly get bigger and it is an honour for me to get to play with the best and get bigger chances to win titles and the Champions League."
Ibrahimovic paid tribute to Ajax and boss Ronald Koeman for helping develop into the player he is.
"But I have got a lot to thank Ajax for and Ronald Koeman has had a big impact on who I am today," added Ibrahimovic.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic is one of the strongest forwards in Europe and in the world: 23-years old, Swedish and of Croatian origin, Ibrahimovic marries a powerful physique (192 cm for 84 kg) with an excellent technique, which makes him able to cover more than a role in the attack. On one side, he loves to take part to and build the action, on the other he is unbeatable in the goal area, where he can take full advantage of his strength.
His ruthlessness in the goal area is sadly known to Italians: it was him who scored the equalizing goal, a masterly backheel, in the match Italy vs Sweden in the latest UEFA Euro 2004, which prevented the Azzurri from qualifying. Zlatan shares the same experience with his new team-mate Trezeguet, who had punished Italy in the UEFA Euro 2000 by scoring the Golden Goal and thus making France win the tournament. Wishfully, such an introduction will make Ibrahimovic follow the same path as David Trezeguet's
