Heerenveen Eye Duo

HEERENVEEN are reported to be plotting a double raid on Scandinavia, with Stabaek's Christian Wilhelmson and Valerenga's Tobias Grahn(photo - right) the players catching the eye.

Wilhelmson is viewed as one of Sweden`s brightest talents, and has been tracked by the Dutch outfit for some time.

Reports are suggesting Heerenveen will make a bid in January, but Stabaek are not convinced by the rumours.

Stabaek chief Tom Schelvan said: "This is only a rumour from the summer.

"We haven't heard from them, either from the club or from agents," he added to Dagbladet.

Grahn seems keen to leave his Norwegian side, and Holland would appear to be an ideal destination.

He said: "I know that there is interest and the Dutch league will be perfect for me if I leave Norway.

"The size of the club is just perfect in a quite big league.

"If you go directly to a club in the Premier League there is a big chance you will get placed on the bench."

In other news, Stabaek striker Marel Baldvinsson has returned from a trial with Nurnberg - with the club not sure if a bid will be lodged. 1
