Larsson Won't Be Rushed

Martin O'Neill has revealed that while there is no timeframe on Henrik Larsson's recovery, the Swede has started work on his fitness although the striker still has to steer clear of physical contact sport.

The 31-year-old sustained a double jaw fracture against Livingston almost a month ago, and O'Neill won't rush Larsson back prematurely.

"There・s no date in mind," said O'Neill. "It will be four weeks on Sunday since he had the injury and the surgeon wants him to stay out of any sort of physical contact.

"He has been doing a little bit of work on his own, but I・ve said umpteen times before that if there・s a chance of Henrik getting back more quickly than would normally be expected, he・s the man to do it.

"I wouldn・t want to put any timeframe, but he・s doing OK at the moment." 1
