Allback On First Premiership Strike

Marcus Allback grabbed his first Premiership goal as Villa beat Fulham 3-1 and vowed: ˇ§I aim to make that the first of many.ˇ¨

The Swedish international ace, who secured a Villa Park move with his goals in Holland, broke his Premiership duck with a 66th minute strike against Dutch No1 Edwin Van Der Sar.

Significantly Allbackˇ¦s first goal was Villaˇ¦s 500th in the Premiership. And the summer capture from Heerenveen is determined to quickly add to his tally.

ˇ§Of course it was worth the wait. It was a tremendous feeling to be on the pitch and to score is a bonus.

ˇ§We have a lot of good strikers at the club and patience was my only option. I knew that sooner or later Iˇ¦d get the chance and then it was a case of taking the opportunity.
