The Swede has had a stuttering start to his career at Villa Park, following his move from Heerenveen, but he finally found the target in the Birmingham side`s romp over Fulham on Saturday.
Commenting on his goal, he said: "Oyvind Leonhardsen received the ball with his back towards the goal outside the penalty area.
"He planned to shoot, but I shouted that he should give it to me and I hit it with my left foot and it went in.
"It felt superb walking towards the Holt End where our fans were sitting. It was sweet."
Looking back on his first few months, he added: "It has been tough for a while, but I have tried to tell myself to have patience.
"It has felt good the last week, but it did before the Blackburn match too, and then I didn't get to play a minute."
