Hedman Dismisses Injury Rumours

MAGNUS HEDMAN today dismissed newspaper reports which claimed he had suffered a recurrence of the calf injury which has sidelined him since October.

The Swedish goalkeeper told the Celtic website: "I have not suffered another calf problem. I¡¦m as fit this week as I was last week. I will be training Friday, Saturday and Sunday and I¡¦m due to play for the Under-21 side against St Johnstone on Monday night."

The only reason Hedman didn¡¦t travel with the team to Spain for the UEFA Cup tie against Celta Vigo was as a precaution.
