Swede Rules out Gunners' Chances

AJAX forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic believes his side will advance and Arsenal will go crashing out of the Champions League after they could only draw with 10-man Roma on Tuesday night.

The Swedish international holds a grudge against Gunners boss Arsene Wenger after he revealed the Frenchman invited him to a trial at Highbury two years ago, with Ibrahimovic believing a trial was beneath him .

The striker said: "All we need is a point and we beat Roma at home so I don't understand why we shouldn't be able to beat them away as well.

"I believe that we and Valencia will go through," declared Ibrahimovic.

Meanwhile, Ibrahimovic's countryman at Arsenal Freddie Ljungberg said he was baffled as to why the Premiership champions keep on letting sides off the hook.

"It is hard to explain why. We have trouble settling things at time. There is no question about it," the midfielder told Sportbladet.

"We couldn't manage to score more goals, it's hard to give an answer why it is like that, but we have to try and settle games." 1
