Djurgardens Hope to Down Bordeaux

SEVERAL English clubs have joined the hunt for promising Swedish defender Mikael Dorsin of Djurgardens IF.

PSV Eindhoven are already thought to be monitoring his situation but the player wants to see out his time with his present club;

"I know there is interest from other clubs.

"My contract with Djurgarden expires at the end of next season and as I feel now, I would like to fulfil it," he told Expressen.

The Stockholm-based double-winners face Bordeaux in the second leg of the Uefa Cup on Tuesday night and Dorsin is hoping for a big improvement from his side after a disappointing first leg.

He said "We need to have luck and play on top. In the first match, we were not pleased with our play.

"We were all tired in the heads and lost our positions on the pitch."

The 21-year-old will have his work cut out against Portuguese ace Pauleta and knows he will have to concentrate for the full 90 minutes:

"It doesn't suffice to have one good half.  We need to show what we are made of and win our man-to-man fights." 1
