Allback Ready To Snub Ajax

Marcus Allback last night distanced himself from speculation linking him with a summer move to Ajax, insisting: ¡§I want to stay with Villa.¡¨

The Swedish international ace exclusively told Villa World last week that he hoped to go from strength to strength at Villa Park next year ¡V building on what has been at times a frustrating first season.

And, as Ajax boss Ronald Koeman confirmed an interest in the former Heerenveen man, commented: ¡§A friend from Holland called and told me what had been written in the Dutch papers.

¡§We will see how the situation will develop at Aston Villa. My family is happy and I want to stay, but I need to get more playing time. Otherwise, something has to happen this summer."
