Larsson was on the scoresheet as The Bhoys produced a sizzling display to secure a 3-0 aggregate win over Rovers.

The win has set up a mouth-watering clash with Celta Vigo, and Larsson feels it was fully deserved.

Speaking to Expressen, the Swede said: "I feel happiness and relief since this match had got so much attention.

"There was a lot of prestige at stake.

"Now we have shown that we can knock out a good English side from the Premier League."

Commenting on his strike, Larsson added: "It was my special chip, I always felt I had the edge on the keeper."

Larsson hopes the win at Ewood Park will make up for a lacklustre display in the first leg.

He added: "We were really disappointed with our display in the home match. We won, but were lucky.

"Everyone understood that we needed to play better to win the return leg.

"But now there was no discussion, we were the better side.

"It's a big triumph for me and Celtic both sport-wise and when it comes to prestige."
