The 27-year-old was injured during the defeat at Old Trafford but is now glad to be back in training.
"It was just goalkeeping training, but it was really fun to take part again and it feels quite good," Shaaban told Expressen.
"Although, the thigh feels a bit stiff, especially when you are cold.
"I don't know when I can play a match again, but I believe it will go quickly now that I am back in practice again.
The keeper has still not decided whether he will represent Egypt or Sweden at international level, but is still in touch with both federations.
"I sent a fax to the Egyptian Federation and told them that I could not participate in the friendly internationals since I was injured.
"They (Swedish coaches) asked for my new address, now that I have moved and they have got it."
