Isaksson shrugs off injury

Andreas Isaksson played against England with a hip injury, but does not feel it will be a problem for Sweden's second round game with Germany.

The goalkeeper, who missed his team's opening World Cup match with concussion, originally suffered the hip complaint in the 1-0 success over Paraguay.

He played in Tuesday's 2-2 draw with England with a bandage covering the problem as Sweden moved into the knockout phase.

But Isaksson has downplayed any suggestions that the hip injury could have an impact on his performances for the remainder of the World Cup.

With Sweden due to meet hosts Germany on Saturday, Isaksson shrugged off concerns it is a serious injury.

"I have got a strain," admitted Isaksson.

"It is obvious that you get a bit afraid that it is serious, but it is getting better.

"It is tough to have some pains, but it is nothing I think about during the match.

"It does not disturb me." 1
