Lagerback coy on Ibra role

Sweden coach Lars Lagerback has already made his mind up over his starting XI to face Germany, but the 57-year-old will not reveal whether Zlatan Ibrahimovic will be recalled to the side.

The Juventus striker injured himself in the warm-up before Sweden's second game against Paraguay, but completed 45 minutes before missing the 2-2 draw with England.

Former Aston Villa striker Marcus Allback took advantage of his team-mate's absence to score against The Three Lions, and now Lagerback has a decision to make over who will partner Henrik Larsson in the last 16 clash.

Whilst the Swedish coach says he has already made up his own mind, Lagerback is not willing to reveal whether Ibrahimovic will return to the team after regaining fitness.

"Yes in principle I have the side already," Lagerback told Sportbladet.

"Allback always works well with the midfield and the other striker, he has been involved in many scoring opportunities.

"Zlatan trained on Wednesday and that is positive.

"It is one thing to train 65 minutes and a different matter to play a match.

"But we are hopeful, I guess Zlatan would be disappointed if he is dropped." 1
