ARSENAL midfielder Freddie Ljungberg insists The Gunners are not a club in crisis. The North London outfit have been blown away by mega-rich London rivals Chelsea in the summer transfer market, as well as by old enemy Tottenham Hotspur, and are also struggling to finance their new 60,000 seater stadium at Ashburton Grove, with costs spiralling close to the EU$400 million mark.
Manager Arsene Wenger has failed to bring in any big name signings and has been turned down by a posse of top goalkeepers as he desperately seeks cover for the departed David Seaman, although Borussia Dortmund's Jens Lehmann and Valencia's Santiago Canizares are in talks.
On top of that, Wenger still has the issues of new deals for French trio Patrick Vieira, midfield schemer Robert Pires, and striker Sylvain Wiltord to resolve.
However, Swedish ace Ljungberg tried to appease supporters concern and state there was nothing to worry about.
"I really don't think there is any cause for concern and I am confident that the boss will sort everything out on the transfer front," said the Swede.
"We are all looking forward to the new season. I think that the boss is still on the lookout for new players and I believe that we will strengthen a little bit before the start of the campaign.
"But it looks good anyway because we still have the same players as last year when we went so close."
With neighbours Chelsea blitzing away any other club in Europe on their spending spree, Ljungberg, who is on tour with Arsenal in Austria, said The Blues had not gone unnoticed at Highbury.
"Of course it makes it harder for us if Chelsea are strengthening their squad and getting better," he added.
"I'm sure that they will be strong and having signed the players they have recently, I think they will be even better than last year.
"I'm sure the Chelsea fans are happy someone has come along and put a lot of money into the club.
"And they will be hoping they can make a strong bid for the championship."
