Linderoth Back in Action

Tobias Linderoth will make his long-awaited comeback in tonight¡¦s mini-derby with Liverpool, kick-off 7.00pm.

The Swedish international has been sidelined since November with a succession of problems that have effectively wrecked his entire season.

During the Worthington Cup game at Newcastle United he sustained a hamstring injury and then as he was making his return against West Brom reserves, he suffered a major setback when he injured his other hamstring.

Joining Linderoth in tonight¡¦s starting line-up is Alessandro Pistone, who has been out injured since the beginning of March following hernia repair surgery.

David Moyes will be in attendance at the Deva Stadium to run the rule over both players and he will also be checking on the progress of Peter Clarke, who has been recalled from his loan spell at Port Vale after helping Brian Horton¡¦s side secure their status in the First Division.

Clarke was due to spend the remainder of the campaign with Nationwide Club but suspensions to Gary Naysmith and David Weir have forced the Blues to bring him back earlier than first anticipated.

Li Tie makes his first appearance for Everton reserves with Paul Gerrard, Nick Chadwick, Alan Moogan, Sean O¡¦Hanlon, George Pilkington, Niclas Alexandersson and Leon Osman, who made his Goodison debut against Aston Villa on Saturday, also involved.
