The Swedish striker has vowed to leave Parkhead in 18 months' time and bring the curtain down on a prolific Bhoys career.
Larsson has rattled in 181 goals since joining Celtic from Feyenoord over five years ago and while the Glasgow giants would relish extending the Scandinavian's stay in Scotland, the 31-year-old has no such plans.
"I have always made it clear to the people here that this contract is the last one I will sign at Celtic and nothing has changed," affirmed Larsson.
"That's nothing against the club because I've had some incredible times here and Celtic will always be special to me.
"But it will be a good time for a change when it finishes."
The experienced hit-man has yet to decide where his future lies but will examine the possibility of plying his trade in another country before returning to his homeland.
He added to Celtic View: "I'd like to go somewhere else and do something different when I finish here but I will wait and see what options are available to me.
"It all depends on what opportunities arise and, if nothing appeals to me, then I'll probably just go home.
"I don't have a perfect situation. It's stupid to think too far ahead in football."
