Olly Partnership Getting Better

Ronny Johnsen believes there is more to come from his defensive partnership with fellow Scandinavian Olof Mellberg.

The Norwegian international ace has linked-up well with Mellberg this season and told www.avfc.co.uk last month that the Swede ranked alongside the very best partners from his time with Manchester United.

The pair have regularly played together since mid-January and Johnsen commented: ：I・ve been with Olof for quite a spell now and we have developed a good understanding in that time.

：I・ve played with some excellent defenders during my career, but Olof ranks amongst the best. We are comfortable together and our confidence has grown as we have got to know each other・s games.

：The longer you play together, then the more natural things become for the pair of you. I rate him very highly.

：He came back from the World Cup last summer and has just kept going. Of course, you get tired, but the main thing is staying injury free and he・s done that.；
