NICLAS ALEXANDERSSON is at a loss as to why he is not featuring for Everton, and will seek talks with David Moyes if he fails to win his place back in the near future. The Swedish winger says it is the first time in his career that he has not been a regular starter, and he is clearly finding it something of a culture shock.
He said: "I have been in England for five years and until this season, I have always been a regular starter.
"This situation is entirely new to me and I don't really know how I will react if this continues."
Moyes took charge at the back end of last season and he has clearly placed other players above Alexandersson in the Goodison Park pecking order.
The Swede, speaking to sportal.se, added: "Different managers are using different playing systems and like different types of player.
"I feel that I should play and that I am good enough."
The 30-year-old fears he could lose his place in the Swedish team, and will look for a solution if the problem persists.
He added: "In the long run, I will not be able to keep my place in the national team.
"My career is coming towards the end, it would have been different if I was five years younger.
"Then, I could not have accepted this situation as long as I can now."
Alexandersson is determined to prove himself to Moyes.
He added: "You never feel really good unless you get to play and it's only a matter of fighting on until you get the chance and then take it."
