SOUTHAMPTON'S Swedish international midfielder Anders Svensson believes he will remain on the bench following the team's impressive win over Arsenal last weekend.Svensson did not feature against The Gunners, due to injury, and it not expecting boss Gordon Strachan to make any changes for their clash against West Ham United.
"I was injured, so it was not so strange that I did not play versus Arsenal," said Svensson to Sportal.se. "I'll be fit for the next match, but the question is if the coach wants to change a winning side.
"Although, it was not a great display playing-wise by us, it is big to beat Arsenal. I don't think he (Strachan) will change the side."
The Swede has missed just one match for The Saints this term, having made 14 appearances from the club's 15 match so far, but has largely failed to impress having made a big impact in this year's World Cup.
"Sure, there have been a lot expected of me, but I am just out to play and have fun," added Svensson. "I do my best every match, I can't do more.
"Then, people can think whatever they want. But I don't feel it has gone that bad."
