New: Miss Montreal Vicki Ng leaves the competition.
Jan

TVB have made an announcement
yesterday that Montreal entrant Vicki Ng withdraws from this year’s Miss
Chinese International Pageant. Her departure was caused by an incomplete
application form. Miss Ng aged at 17, needed a document signed by her parents
enabling her to compete in the competition. As all the delegates arrived
in Hong Kong by Jan 1. TVB still did not receive the paper work request
by the rules from Miss Ng. TVB agreed to give her extra time providing
full applicant information. Unfortunately, TVB still did not receive the
necessary paper documents after reaching the deadline. Hence, TVB asked
Miss Ng to step down, Vicki Ng of Montreal, agreed and hence withdrew,
and had returned to Montreal with her parents on Jan 11.
According to the unidentified
sources, one claimed that Miss Ng parents found TVB Miss Chinese International
was inappropriate for their loving daughter, hence encouraged her to withdraw.
And eventually, Vicki agreed the request by her parents and left the competition.
Also, from another source, Charmpress INC received, which was rumoured
that Miss Ng recently discovered that she was pregnant, had to give up
her dream. Charmpress INC have also received an email from someone who
claimed that Vicki has posed some inappropriate pictures with a man. However,
nothing is confirmed. The reason caused Vicki’s departure remained as secret.
16 delegates are now remaining
in the competition. TVB also informed the press, all Miss Ng’s previous
promotion clips will be erased and her portrait taken a week ago will not
be published. TVB also stressed that we have never considered signing Miss
Ng as TVB Artist.

Seventeen Miss Chinese INTL
2006 delegates competed for the top prize of Talent competition during
their Fuoshan tour. The organiser named the award as "Ceramics
Cultural
Ambassador". Miss New York performed Chinese “Kong Fu“, was the most popular
delegate among the live audiences.
The local temperature drops
to only 5 degree during the event, but the cold freeze did not stop the
locals turning up to watch the competition at a out door venue, and almost
500 people turned up.
Miss Hong Kong wins the top
prize despite the fact that her performance was quite ordinary. The biggest
crown favour Miss Montreal Vicki Ng was the most photographed delegate
during the tour.
Vicki’s Chinese is rather
poor, the audiences find it very difficult figuring out what she is trying
to say. The English and French native speaker, Montreal resident told the
reporters that she is working on her Chinese language through the helps
of pageant staffs and delegates, and disagreed this could bring her disadvantage,
because English is internationally recognised language.
