Episode 13- For The Sake of Love

- In the real world, Miaka's brother reads and wonders if Miaka really is the Suzaku No Miko and why she is so adored by all these guys.

- Tama and Miaka are still embracing when he feels an evil "chi" (power) go through him. Hotohori rushes in cause he felt the same thing. They all hear a voice from the ceiling, an agent of Kutou, telling them that they have destroy several villages in Konan. But they will withdraw if they send Tamahome to Kutou. Miaka's wondering if this is Yui's doing. The agent, found by Chichiri, escapes.

- Miaka begs Tamahome not to go. Hotohori agrees.

- That night, Tama watches Miaka sleep and decides to go to Kutou. He gives her a kiss and leaves.

- Next morning, Miaka runs around yelling for Tama. She meets up with Hotohori and tells him that Tama left a note. (she can't read the characters) Hotohori reads it and tells Miaka that Tama has gone to Kutou. He will come back when the rest of the sei are assembled.

- Later, Miaka, Nuriko and Chichiri decide to leave to get the remaining sei. Taiisukun gave her a special mirror which will let them know if they are close to a seishi. They leave.

- While on horseback, the mirror shows a mountain. Nuriko tells Miaka that Mt. Leikaku is nearby, but it is overrun by bandits. Miaka says not to worry because Chichiri is with them......but when she turns to look at him he isn't there!!!!!!

- Chichiri is actually back at the palace. Knowing that Hotohori really wants to go with them on their journey, Chichiri says he will pretend to be Hotohori so he can go. He uses his magic and becomes the spinning image of Hotohori!!!

- Nuriko and Miaka make a pit stop to eat. She orders everything on the menu and starts pigging out. Nuriko sees the men that are there are staring at them and begins thinks that the food may be poisioned. But it's too late now cause Miaka's already scarfed down everything....she falls to the ground. Nuriko kicks some butt as the men attack them and just as Miaka is about to be killed Hotohori saves her!! Turns out that Miaka just got some food caught in her throat and it isn't poisoned at all. Nuriko clobbers her for making him worry. LOL!!!

- Hotohori tells them that Chichiri is pretending to be him while they are gone. He gives Miaka the note that Tama wrote her, and points out that it says "I love you" at the end of it. Miaka gets upset and Hotohori embraces her. Nuriko is watching all of this from behind a tree. (Nuriko is a BIG fan of trees, isn't he?) Hotohori and Miaka's eyes meet and they almost kiss............but she pulls away. (talk about hard to get) He knows that she doesn't love him, but he will not deny his feeling for her.

- Miaka starts to run off, but trips over a rope. A piece of wood with spikes on it starts to fall on her, but Hotohori pushes her out of the way just in time, but they fall to the ground unconcious. Nuriko runs towards them but someone hits her with a piece of wood and he falls to the ground as well...

- They all wake up, tied up, in a strange room. Miaka notices blood on Hotohori's sleeve and realizes he hurt himself saving her. She wiggles over to Hotohori and their eyes meet again...

- Before anything happens, a bunch of men come into the room. They introduce themselves as the Mt. Leikaku bandits and tell them to be nice or they will hurt them. Thinking about the moutain in the mirror, she realizes that one of the bandits must have a character on their body and be a sei!!! Miaka starts jumping around, and another bandit comes in and says that he is going to take her away. Nuriko and Hotohori go ballistic but Miaka says that it's okay cause he can find out if the 5th seishi is there.

- As soon as the bandit leaves with Miaka, another bandit starts hitting on Hotohori. Nuriko says that they all think that they are women and suggest they go with it for now. The bandits untie them.

- In Kutou, Nakago welcomes Tamahome and tells him that he (Nakago) is also a sei...Seiryuu's sei. He says that Tama is there to comfort Yui. They butt heads and Nakago smacks him in the face. Yui rushes in and tells everyone to leave them alone. Tama says that he knows Yui was forced to be the Miko (but we know she wasn't actually "forced" and that she decided on her own). He tells Yui that they will get "The Universe of Four Gods" scroll back from Nakago and go back to Konan. Yui pretends to agree with him, but thinks to herself that she will never let Miaka have Tama back.

- The episode ends with Miaka being led to the bandit leader.........
