Episode 48- Even At The Risk of This Life

-Suboshi and Tama fight it out in the middle of the city. Tama is holding his own and tries to get Suboshi as far away from Miaka as possible. Suboshi sends on of his Ryuuseisui after Tamahome to ventilate holes in him! Suboshi sets his sights on killing Miaka while Tamahome is not around.....but Tama comes running towards Suboshi. Behind Tama is the Ryuuseisui traveling at an incredible speed. Tama jumps over Suboshi, but Suboshi catches on to the fact that Tama is trying to get the Ryuuseisui to hit HIM. Suddenly, we see the spirts of Chuei, Gyokuran, Shunkel, and Yuiren (Tama's sibs, remember?) holding back Suboshi from running away!!! The Ryuuseisui goes right through Suboshi, and he dies and his body dissappears. This is a GREAT scene for action!!

-Back in Sairou, Amiboshi/Kaika feels as if half of him is dying. His parents ask him to play a song on his flute so that the war with end..

-Hotohori and Nakago are face to face in their horses. Nak says that his army is going to retreat. His goal is no longer the conquest of Konan...but the conquest of a "separate world". AND this whole war was a creation of Nak's to decieve the emporer of Kutou! Hotohori realizes it's Miaka's world that he wants and charges towards Nak......we hear Chichiri scream. Using some power from Suzaku, Hotohori manages to injury Nak...but is blown away by Nak's ki ball.

-Miaka and Keisuke watch over a recovering Tama in bed. Miaka thinks about everyone in the book...when Tetsuya requests a word with her alone. He tells her that he read the book a little more and Mits is dead....Hotohori is about to die also. Miaka opens the book and calls to Hotohori.

-Tasuki and Chichiri are kneeling down beside Hoto's weak body. They all hear Miaka calling from above! Hotohori is regretful that he couldn't beat Nak and that Tamahome is ONLY one that can defeat him now. There is a whole music clip of Hotohori throughout the series....and his last words are "I loved....and became happy..." :(((((((

-Tama wakes up and asks how Miaka is. Keisuke sadly asks Tamahome to return to the book...alone.
