Welcome to visit my mini eraser collection station "Eraser House"....so thankful...In fact, I've been collecting erasers for some time. I recalled that my first collectible eraser is a hamburger which I bought from Wing On department Store at HK$5. This price is quite expensive already, as a popicle only costs you 80cents only! However, because I have not been residing in Hong Kong for most of the time, therefore my collection is still so tiny. I know other eraser collectors have very big collections. Comparing to them, mine is too small!
Recalling that in 80's to 90's in Hong Kong, you can easily find so many cute and fantastic erasers. In department store like "Daimaru's Home Division", they have the most fabulous erasers in many different shapes. However, at that time, I'm still too small and without money to buy them. The prices of these erasers in this store are not cheap that many kids might not be able to afford the prices!! A eraser of HK$20 or above was already too costly to me. So better to window shop them! I remembered a few erasers was bought from that store and these erasers resemble the Iwako's vegetable erasers very much! The next big department stores with many cute erasers are "ªQªO«Î"...."Mitsukoshi"...."ªF«æ" or even some small stationary shops occasionally would have cute erasers for sale.
Starting from the early 90s, you could find many iwako's erasers. The first iwako erasers I discovered are vegetable erasers. Unfortunately, it seems the erasers market has diminshed now, may be also related to that fact that so many big japanese stores has closed down. Within this few years, no matter how I searched around the places in Hong Kong, I couldn't find many cute erasers, I wonder why?! So if I do find a piece of lovely eraser, I'll be very excited! Wow! if several many lovely erasers was find in a single time, I'd be terribly excited that I became sleepless that night. Am I overreacted? =P~ Occasionally, I will take out and look at my treasured erasers. I have a wish which is I want to take a trip to japan and shop for all lovely erasers...hahaha...I'll work hard to have my wish come true! If you discover any lovely erasers and If you are such a kind-hearted person, then you're more than welcomed to help me out!
In the past, most of my purchases were japanese erasers and only few were made in china. But recently, so many erasers found in the market are designed and manufactured in china. And the quality is surprisingly good! In fact, I realized that many erasers that I bought were made in china. They are nice and also detailed!
By the way, some of the erasers do get some yellowish spots. Such a pity! These erasers cannot be found anymore. I wonder if there is any ways to keep the erasers in original condition? okay, I won't keep you from browsing my homepage anymore..enjoy~ (^o^).
P.S. if you encounter browsing problem, it may probably be because the website has reached its uploading limits (which do always happen :P). In this case, please be patient and come back later. Thanksssss...
