(Thanks to TB who help me to find  the FREE java to EXE program http://www.excelsior-usa.com/jetpers.html. It's great, but it cannot support stand-alone console without its JET. Instead, I use the other non-native converter http://www.duckware.com/jexepack/index.html ;-)

Background:

This program is open-sourced for everybody who wanna enhance this program OR learn the MIDI process with JAVA and conversion . Of coz, please notify me the modification and keep the program be open-sourced ;-)

I didn't write the whole program, this program is based on some examples on WEB (DumpSequence.java  DumpReceiver.java) and I did some changes. For those what I wrote, I placed some indications with that :-P

Description:

This program is to convert the mono-tone midi file into mobile ringtone. By giving the different RingTone Information File, a mobile-specific ringtone will display.

Instruction:

** Please ensure you have installed JRE (or JSDK) BEFORE running this program ** <Download>

1) Open Windows Explorer

2) Double click the GraphicalRingTone.exe to execute it (fig. 1)

3) Select the Ringtone information file and MIDI file as figure shown.
By default, the Note solution is 8th. Means only convert the 8th- or less note only, select higher Note Resolution for more precise MIDI/Conversion.

4) Click Convert button, the result of ringtone will show on the Output area

**) After the execution, an error window pop-up. Just IGNORE it is ok! Then the ringtone will show in the command prompt window (fig. 2).

Errors Occurred? :

When the there are some notes cannot be converted,

the value will display with [ ] instead.

e.g. 55 11* 22 [3C#5] 6666

The [ ]-ed means the value inside does not appear in RingTone Information File, you may ignore it or add the value in the Information File.

** If too many [0 xx] (e.g. [0C5], [0G#6], [0D4], [0F#5]...) are generated, you can re-run the program with HIGHER NoteResolution **

Known Bugs:

o        The program will skip the Rest Note during conversion.

o        Only Monotone midi is accepted.
